Privacy Policy

      Short version: Pause collects nothing. All data stays in your browser. No servers, no accounts, no tracking.
    

What data we collect

Pause does not collect any personal data. The extension stores the following information locally on your device only:

Daily visit counts (how many times you proceeded past the pause screen)
Daily resist counts (how many times you went back)
Whether the extension is enabled or disabled

This data is stored using chrome.storage.local and never leaves your device.

What we do not collect

No personal information (name, email, IP address)
No browsing history
No usage analytics or telemetry
No crash reports
No cookies

Third parties

Pause does not share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data to share. There are no third-party services, SDKs, or APIs used by this extension.

Permissions

Pause requests the following Chrome permission:

storage — to save your visit/resist stats locally on your device.

Data deletion

To delete all data stored by Pause, simply uninstall the extension from Chrome. You can also clear extension data manually via chrome://extensions → Pause → Details → Clear data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new date. Since we collect no data, any changes will likely be minor clarifications only.
