Tabmates Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Tabmates helps groups of friends track shared expenses and settle up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account information: the display name and email address you share when you sign in with Apple or Google, and the account identifier Apple or Google gives us. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we only receive the relay address.
- What you enter in the app:
- Groups you create or join, and who is in them.
- Expenses: description, amount, who paid, and how the cost is split.
- Payments you mark as paid.
We don’t collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or analytics. There are no ads and no tracking.
How we use data
Only to run the app:
- signing you in;
- showing your groups, expenses and balances to the members of those groups;
- calculating who owes whom.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
- Other members of your groups: your display name, and the expenses and payments in those groups.
- Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication, United States). We don’t share your data with anyone else.
Deleting your account
Go to Settings → Delete Account.
- Your sign-in is removed, and for Sign in with Apple, Tabmates’ access to your Apple ID is revoked.
- Expenses you shared stay in your groups, shown as “Deleted user”, so other members’ balances still add up. Your name and email are removed.
